Support Group - Boys Social Club
Our ASSN boys group was established earlier this year to provide a social calendar for primary school aged boys with Aspergers Syndrome.
These social events are held fortnightly on Saturday mornings at 10am (excluding school holidays) in the eastern suburbs. The group aims to ensure that these boys have an active social life and a chance to enjoy the social events that they sometimes miss out on, in an environment that is friendly and without judgement.
At our functions we usually have between 12 - 15 boys, with a good range of ages from 6 to 13. Some of the activities they have enjoyed include:
- mini golf
- ten pin bowling
- movie events
- catch up at a local park
- Ace Space
- Chirnside Park
- small group play dates at individual homes
- Taskworks
- Beckett Park
- Hays Paddock
- Science Works
